Unfortunately, we have lost still another classmate. Below is Debi Powell's obituary as published on the
Elliott Mortuary website:
Debra Kay “Debi” Wilson, 70, died January 2, 2023, surrounded by her family, at McPherson Health and Rehab. She was born May 23, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Jack
LeRoy and Marilyn Jeanne (Bradley) Powell.
Debi graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970. She worked for over 25 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Debi worked at Wesley Towers Retirement
Community before retiring from TECH as an LPN. She was a classy lady and loved the Kansas City Chiefs. Above all, family came first; Debi never missed an
opportunity to spend time with her family.
On July 1, 1988, Debi married Tommy Lee “BoBo” Wilson, in Hutchinson. He died November 7, 2015.
Debi is survived by: daughter, Chelsea Jackson (Jeremey); grandchildren, Maliyah Jackson and Zayden Jackson; siblings, Steve Powell (Rhonda), Jon Powell, and
Sue Seybert, all of Hutchinson; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and their families.
Debi was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Charles Crumble officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
Private family inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
