Sadly, we have lost another Classmate.

Here is the obituary for Gary Christian as posted on the Elliott Mortuary website:

Gary Dale Christian, 61, died Dec. 21, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Gary was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Hutchinson, the son of Dale and Velda Lee (Means) Christian.

Gary graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970 and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gary worked as an industrial construction worker for Borton L.C. for almost 30 years.

In 1978, he married Susan Blaker. They later divorced. Survivors include: two children, Jeremiah Christian and wife Amanda of Hutchinson, Jessica Christian and husband Abel of Wichita; three sisters, Sue Baggett-Zelenka and husband Tony of Hutchinson, Cheryl Phinney and husband Clayton of Inman, Debbie Vigil and husband Frank of Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Darril and Eunnise; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Fort Riley Veterans' Cemetery, Manhattan, Kan. Friends may call from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to the Mid America Bully Breed Rescue, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
