Unfortunately, and sadly, we have lost still another one of our classmates. Below is Jeannie Lavielle Barth's obituary as published on the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel website.

Jeannie, 71, of Hutchinson, KS gained her wings and went to walk with the angels at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center on September 22, 2023.

She was born in Hutchinson, KS on January 24, 1952, to James “Max” and Izetta “Lou” Lavielle, she graduated from Hutchinson High School working as a lifeguard. Jeannie attended Adela Hale Business Career School and obtained her certificate for Administrative Assistant. Jeannie worked at Cessna/Eaton, SNC and then retired from the Hutchinson Clinic.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her father Max Lavielle and her husband Richard Barth, and is survived by Mother Lou Lavielle, Hutchinson, KS; brother Danny Lavielle, Seattle, WA; sister Diane (Jack) Martin, Hutchinson, KS; children Michelle (Danny) Wilson, Hutchinson, KS; Tracy (Mike) Voth, Hutchinson, KS; Karen (Arturo) Martinez, Manhattan, KS. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two furry friends and loved by many.

Jeannie was baptized in the First Baptist Church in 1964 and attended Crossroads Christian Church in her latter years. She enjoyed her family immensely and will be remembered for making Thanksgiving and Christmas extra special. Heaven has gained a witty, smart, and generous angel. She will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Crossroads Christian Church, 4310 N Monroe St, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating. A memorial book signing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter and sent in care of the funeral Chapel.
