Very sad news. We have lost yet another one of our classmates. Here is the obituary for James "Jim" Hunter Spain as published on the
Elliott Mortuary website:
James "Jim" Hunter Spain, 64, died July 6, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born to James Hunter and Darlene Mildred (Winders) Spain Sr., on April 20, 1952, in Hutchinson.
He graduated from Hutchinson High School and was employed at Home Depot, working at the Contractors Desk.
Survivors include: daughter, Lindsy Hobbs and husband Jeremiah of LaCrosse; mother, Darlene Spain of Hutchinson; grandsons, Hunter and Walker Hobbs of LaCrosse; significant other, Lana Mederos of Hutchinson; her children, Milena Mederos, Alecia Hawkins, Erica Mederos; stepmother, Margaret Spain of
Burnsville, Minn.; stepsisters, Tami DeLeeuw of Holeman, Wis., Jami Schrag of Burnsville, Minn., Melissa Stanfield of Burnsville, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Ronnie Spain.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Father Ted Blakely presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016,
