Sadly, another Classmate of ours recently passed away. Here is Mona (DeGarmo) Wilcoxen's obituary as published in "The Hutchinson News" on March 3, 2007:

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS - Mona Joyce Wilcoxen, 54, of Kansas City, KS, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at Indian Meadows Nursing Center. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 5, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-America Chapter of the National MS Society, 5442 Martway, Mission, KS 66205.

Mona was born October 16, 1952, in Ulysses, KS and lived in Hutchinson, KS for 34 years before moving to Kansas City, KS in 1988. Mona was a childcare provider and nanny.

Her mother, LaWanda DeGarmo, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Kurt A. Wilcoxen, and son Kyle Wilcoxen, of the home; daughter Dana Siscoe and husband Clark, of Overland Park, KS; her father Harry DeGarmo, of Hutchinson, KS; 3 sisters Lisa Johnson, Atlanta, GA; Lori Mallory, Olathe, KS and Anita DeZego, of St. Louis, MO; and a brother Jay DeGarmo, of Las Vegas, NV.
