I am very sorry to announce the passing of one of our Classmates. Here is Nancy Long's obituary as published in "The Hutchinson News" on September 28, 2006:
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS - Nancy Lynne Long, 53, died September 24, 2006, at her home, The Woodlands, Texas.
She was born November 6, 1952, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Arthur F. and Phyllis Lorrine Erhard Long. She graduated Hutchinson
High School in 1970 and Kansas State University in 1974. She was a substitute teacher and had formerly taught at San Jacinto
Community College.
Survivors include: two sons, Philip Cratty and Justin Cratty, both of Lawrence; a daughter, Nicola Cratty, of the home; her
mother, Hutchinson; two brothers, Gaylord Long and wife, Paula, McPherson, and William Long and wife, Linda, Hutchinson; a
significant other, Robert Fiore of New York, N.Y.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.
Private graveside service will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Tim Soule presiding.
Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of usual remembrances, an educational fund has been established in her honor through First National Bank in
Hutchinson or The Cure Autism Now Foundation or The Children of Heartsong. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of
arrangements.
