STEVEN BEALS


It saddens me to have to announce that another one of our Classmates passed away recently. Here is the obituary for Steven Beals as it was published in "The Hutchinson News" on December 12, 2006:

Steven R. Beals, 55, died December 18, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born October 6, 1951, in Hutchinson, the son of Richard Lee and Donna Nadean White Beals. In 1970, he graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Salina Business School. A lifelong resident of Hutchinson, he was the bookkeeper at Montezuma Co-op for several years.

Survivors include: his mother; a brother, Greg Beals and wife, Judy, Hutchinson; two nephews, Scott Beals and wife, Amanda, Hutchinson, and Brett Beals and wife, Bre, Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Beals, on August 20, 1999.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Bob Smith officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Memorials may be sent to the Kansas Society for Crippled Children or Hospice House, in care of the funeral home.
